 MARCO-STERN-STERA One of the first purpose built ships with a Denmarktrade certificate is the Ferus Smit built Marco (1977) The building of the ship in 1977 meant the revival of the Ferus Smit Yard in Foxhol.After this ship the yard would build a series of ship especially for this trade.
The Marco was built for capt.owner Chris Leyten, using the same design as the Denmarktrader Wandelaar and many rivertankers.
Details will follow.
On these pictures the ship is discharging her first trip of soda , loaded in Delfzijl (NL) to Naestved ( DK)
